This contemporary American restaurant in a Lincoln Park boutique hotel follows up on the success of Landmark Grille and Lounge in the same neighborhood. The same owners hired their trusted team of Warren Ashworth and Christina Ziegler (www.CZDesign.net) (to provide them with a very special room. To quote David Tamarkin in Time Out Chicago “The intersection of luxury and casual is a place that many restaurants have aimed to arrive at. None in recent memory have done it as well as Perennial”. It was also given the much coveted three stars by the Chicago Tribune.

The particular design challenge here was how to make this very exposed restaurant, with large expanses of windows on three sides, intimate and warm, even on the coldest Chicago days. Through a combination of subtle lighting, warm and unusual textures (including a suspended billowy fabric ceiling) and great seating Ashworth and Ziegler managed to create an environment unlike any in Chicago.
